this song was written on march 23, 2022 sitting outside on my deck up north of Toronto. It was the first day after a long winter when it was possible to sit outside, being unusually warm and sunny. Two days before on March 21st, first day of spring, my lovely friend just out of the blue sent me a photo of herself in a new spring dress. And thus the unpredictable beauty of the day and lovely image in my head created the inspiration for this tune. The moodiness of the weather, in all seasons, is a pretty clear parallel to human moodiness, things can change quickly. So I am using the unpredictability of the changing days to describe my thoughts toward my lovely friend. And just like the weather I have to just love her every day. ken nilsen
